Karen, Office Manager

Karen has been with us since her introduction to the field in 2001. She keeps our office running at peak performance and feels like the staff is family. Meeting new patients is the highlight of Karen’s job. When she’s at home, Karen spends her time gardening and cooking new dishes in the kitchen.

Joann, Front Desk

We were lucky enough to snag Joann at the beginning of her career in 2002, and she’s been with us ever since. She is enthusiastic about the kindness of the staff and the patients they see. Joann is a mother of three and a grandmother of six. When she’s not greeting patients at our front desk, she spends her free time reading and sewing.

Carol, Front Desk

Carol has worked in dentistry since 1989, and came to us in 2004. A graduate of Sawyer Business School, Danielle joined our team in 2000. She loves that her job places her in the path of all our patients, and she enjoys talking to them about oral health and life in general. Danielle considers the flexibility of the staff our greatest strength. She and her husband have three children, and in her spare time, she takes pleasure in watching her kids play soccer.

With us since 1992, Theresa has been in the field since 1984. She relishes the opportunity to work one on one with her patients, making them feel good about themselves and their visit to the dentist. She feels that the diverse personalities within the office strengthen the quality of care we provide. A busy mother of four, Theresa occasionally finds time for cooking and flower gardening.

Charla, Dental Hygienist

Debbie, Dental Hygienist

A hygienist since 1980, Debbie has worked with our patients since 2007. She holds an associate’s degree and earned her certificate of oral hygiene. Debbie appreciates that while we are a technologically advanced office, we don’t get distracted by bells and whistles. Our main focus remains on the needs and concerns of each individual we treat. Debbie and her husband have been married since 1981 and are privileged to be the parents of two children. Outside of the office, Debbie is a couples’ group leader at her church, and she is always ready to try a new restaurant.

Mary, Dental Hygienist

We welcomed Mary into what she calls our “big, crazy family” in 2007, and she fit right in. With her zest for putting a sparkle in  patients' smiles, Mary had already been serving in the dental field for 30 years by the time she joined White Oak Dental. She is a 1976 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, and today, Mary’s husband Martin serves as an Assistant Professor at the same institution. The couple has three grown children, Pete, Lindy, and Mara. When she’s not at the office, Mary enjoys biking the Rails to Trails with her husband, ballroom dancing, and taking yoga classes.

Laurel, Dental Assistant

An enthusiastic care provider, Laurel has worked with our office since 2007. She values the state-of-the-art equipment that allows us to provide accurate and comfortable dental care. Laurel thinks our staff’s great communication with each other and patients is one of our best attributes. During down time, Laurel listens to music and volunteers to teach 6- 8th grade youth.

Heather, Dental Assistant

Heather started her career in 2008 and came to work for us soon after, in 2009. She thrives on the social interaction of her job, from her friendly patients to her kind coworkers.
